Ranch at the Cuckoo

The Cuckoo Ranch was founded in 1945. In this year’s farmhouse in Pihlově my parents immigrated and began to farm. My father, a lover of horses, bred for the needs of the farm one to two pairs horses. Even after the onset of collective farm has remained a tradition not interrupted (at least we behaved pony). In 1991 we were brought back lots and the economy began to flourish again.

Haflinkové – pride ranch

We decided to breed Alpine Haflink, which originated in the Austrian Alps near the village Haflingen. This horse was bred from local heavy horses, ponies and Arabian horses. With this breed and we are very satisfied with our horses we use the excursion to the countryside for children and adults. Every year, our pastures chases several foals. An interesting attraction is the floating of horses in the Šumava sea Lipno lake.

Horseback riding is 300, – CZK / hour can arrange horse float.
